There are 3 ways to add places to your itinerary in TripPlanner:

1. Click a city on the map and choose "Add City" from the popup window. Use the + and – options to zoom the map in and out. Smaller cities will appear when you zoom in. Click and drag the map to move your position.
2. Type the city’s name or its 3-letter city code into the field below the map. Hit enter or click the plus sign.
3. Find your city in the City Menu below the map. The same cities are listed in the City Menu as are shown on the map when fully zoomed.

TripPlanner has hundreds of destinations but it does not have every destination. If your chosen destination isn’t listed on the map or in the City Menu, pick the next closest city that appears on the map for an approximate estimate then notify your personal travel consultant of your actual desired destination on the “Travel Details” page. Find the custom text field for additional information midway down on the right.

Please note: AirTreks cannot currently assist with airline travel to Cuba.

Be sure to include your home/start city and the city you wish to terminate your route, often the same city from which you left. Remember, TripPlanner does not require you to start and end your trip in the same place. There are no rules regarding the maximum number of cities, direction continuity, backtracking, one way or overland travel. So go crazy!

Once you have added cities to your route, you can rearrange the order at any time by clicking the yellow up/down arrow icon in the route list and then dragging the line item to a new spot in the list. The map will update accordingly.

If you want to travel between two cities by any other means than plane, then click the blue “i” icon next to the city in your list from which you will be leaving by your own means. A menu will appear. Next to “Leave by”, click “overland”.

The "Log In" option allows you to save, recall and modify any number of routes under a saved email address. The "Save" option starts the process by requesting a log in email address.

"Clear" gives you a chance to start over by removing all the cities in the list. Everything you have entered (except routes you have saved) will be deleted.

The "Reverse" option allows you to quickly reverse the entire sequence of your route. Be sure to check your overland legs as they will not reverse with the rest of the route.

"Show Details" expands each city item so you can:

• toggle that trip leg between air and overland.
• tell your travel consultant whether the leg is high, medium or low priority.
• add desired travel dates – good if you have specific date needs.
• give your travel consultant further details about your trip (i.e. alternate city requests, airline requests, date flexibility). Details will NOT affect your online estimate, which is always based on the least expensive dates and flights regardless of what you add here. The information entered in “Note to agent" is used so consultants can optimize your final estimate.

When your route is complete, click "Get Prices" to get a price range based on the route you have chosen. Or else go back and revise your route to get a new estimate, as many times as you like. Prices will change depending on the route you have selected.

Once you have a route and price range you’re satisfied with, click on "Free Custom Quote", complete the “Travel Details” form and submit your request to one of our expert personal travel consultants. They will then contact you by phone or email to finalize your plans, give more exact pricing, and help you make your final reservations.
